This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Most Valuable Player Award. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Shohei Ohtani commands a dominant 61.5% implied probability as the NL MVP frontrunner, fueled by his elite two-way dominance and MLB.com's first 2026 poll four days ago awarding him 28 first-place votes despite a batting slump (.248 AVG, 6 HR). His pitching prowess—a league-low 0.60 ERA with recent gems like 6 IP and 9 strikeouts—underscores voter sentiment favoring sustained excellence over early-season surges, echoing his prior MVP triumphs. Corbin Carroll (6.5%) gains traction with a .842 OPS and 19 RBI, positioning as a speed-power threat after top-6 finishes, while Andy Pages' scorching .945 OPS and 33 RBI (6.0%) reflect breakout buzz on the Dodgers. Trader consensus anticipates Ohtani's trajectory amid fluid early standings, with guild-like BBWAA voting patterns rewarding full-season impact through October.
