Mumbai Indians lead trader consensus at 22.5% implied probability for the 2026 IPL title, buoyed by their retention of a powerhouse core—Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, and Tilak Varma—positioning them for auction dominance on November 24-25. Yet the race remains tight across the top five teams due to the IPL's looming mega auction, which will redistribute stars like MS Dhoni (released by CSK), Travis Head, and Heinrich Klaasen, enabling rapid roster rebuilds for RCB (Virat Kohli anchored), CSK (Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja retained), GT, and SRH. Historical parity, frequent upsets in T20 knockout stages, and even purse distributions underscore the wisdom of crowds pricing a wide-open field.
