Emanuel Ivanisevic holds a clear home advantage as the Croatian teenager faces Ryo Tabata in the opening round of the ITF M25 Bol on clay. The 18-year-old local brings familiarity with the slow, high-bouncing surface and benefits from crowd support in his home country, while Tabata arrives from Japan with a slightly higher ranking near 1020 but limited recent clay-court experience. Both players are 18 and lack any prior head-to-head history, leaving recent form and physical freshness as key variables. Ivanisevic has shown flashes of strong serving in lower-level events this spring, whereas Tabata’s consistency on faster surfaces may require quick adaptation. The match timing on May 19 offers no rest advantage for either, making early breaks and return play decisive factors in what projects as a tightly contested opener.
