Atlanta Braves head to Angel Stadium for a three-game interleague series against the Los Angeles Angels starting April 6, with opener pitting Chris Sale against Jose Soriano, followed by Reynaldo Lopez vs. Yusei Kikuchi and Grant Holmes vs. Reid Detmers. Braves boast a strong 4-2 early-season mark in NL East despite key absences on the injured list—ace Spencer Strider (oblique, mid-April), catcher Sean Murphy (hip, late April), and shortstop Ha-Seong Kim (finger, May)—highlighting pitching depth concerns. Angels sit at 3-4 in AL West, further strained by rotation injuries including Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder), Alek Manoah (finger), and Anthony Rendon out for the year post-hip surgery, though Mike Trout remains active. Head-to-head even recently, mild Anaheim weather favors hitters.
