In the T20 Central American Championship tri-series hosted at Mexico's Reforma Athletic Club in Naucalpan, Brazil faces Costa Rica on April 3 in their first-ever T20I head-to-head, with a rematch following on April 4. Both lower-tier ICC T20I sides—Costa Rica ranked 81st (rating 218, 13 matches) and Brazil 87th (90 rating, 8 matches)—enter with modest recent form: Brazil lost a 2025 series to Argentina, while Costa Rica secured a rain-affected 21-run win over Turks and Caicos in last year's event. The turf pitch typically supports balanced contests favoring seamers early, with toss winner likely batting first; no confirmed squads or injuries yet, amplifying uncertainty in this opener ahead of Mexico clashes.
