Delhi Capitals host Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026 Match 8 at the batsman-friendly Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 4, where short boundaries and true bounce often yield high-scoring T20 contests with first-innings averages around 180. MI carry momentum from their opener on March 29, chasing 221 for a six-wicket win over KKR at Wankhede, showcasing batting firepower amid Jasprit Bumrah's bowling form. DC, untested after the season start, confront a major setback without Mitchell Starc, ruled out early due to shoulder and elbow injuries that weaken their pace attack. Toss looms large for chasing under lights, while DC's home advantage and historical head-to-head (MI leads 21-16) heighten the rivalry's stakes.
