In the ATP 250 Bucharest Open first-round clash on outdoor clay, veteran Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (#89) faces rising Frenchman Titouan Droguet (#124) in their head-to-head debut. Bautista Agut, 37, brings career clay prowess (155-117) but enters 4-7 YTD after a Miami R64 loss to Khachanov and a Cap Cana Challenger R2 exit last week on clay. Droguet, 24, rides momentum from a breakthrough Montpellier ATP semifinal in February—upsetting Griekspoor en route—boasting a strong 13-6 YTD, though limited clay action this year. Traders weigh Bautista Agut's surface familiarity and ranking edge against Droguet's fresher form and upset potential, with no recent injuries reported for either.
