Valve recently added Cache to the CS2 active duty map pool in an early March 2026 update, replacing Inferno ahead of the IEM Cologne Major cutoff and fulfilling fan demands after acquiring rights from FMPONE in May 2025. This followed months of teases, including developer hints in January and community voting on FACEIT, where Cache emerged as a top contender for rotation into Premier and competitive queues. Pro teams are adapting to its balanced layout and CT-side favor, with high pick/ban potential based on CS:GO history; upcoming factors include map pool stability through the next Major cycle unless Valve announces further changes post-Premier Season 4. Trader consensus reflects this official integration, shifting focus to long-term viability amid roster metas and patch tweaks.
