Cache remains absent from CS2's active duty map pool—currently Ancient, Anubis, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass—despite strong community demand and Valve's acquisition of the map from creator FMPONE in 2025. No official addition has occurred in the past 30 days, with the latest pool tweak in January 2026 bringing back Anubis while dropping Train for Premier Season Four. Recent hype stems from unconfirmed rumors like a Reddit user's Valve HQ playtesting claim and FACEIT's community voting ending soon, potentially influencing an April 22 inclusion if it wins. Traders weigh Valve's history of sporadic updates around majors like IEM Cologne against inaction, keeping sentiment cautious amid patch teases but no firm timeline.
