Cache remains absent from Counter-Strike 2's Active Duty map pool, which currently features Ancient, Anubis, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass following Valve's January 2026 rotation that brought back Anubis over widespread expectations for Cache. Despite Valve acquiring remake rights last year and issuing teases through official channels and leaks— including reports of developers playtesting the map as recently as late March— no addition has materialized, fueling pro player frustration with stagnant lineups and repetitive picks. Community sentiment on platforms like Reddit and X highlights demands for refresh, with the next semi-annual map pool change likely mid-2026 aligning historical patterns around Major tournaments or Premier seasons.
