Alcaraz's injury withdrawal opens Sinner's path on the high-altitude clay at Caja Magica, bolstered by his 73% career clay win rate and recent dominance in deciding sets. Challengers like Arthur Fils (49.4%), fresh off a Barcelona title run, Grigor Dimitrov (49.3%), Ben Shelton (49.2%) with strong clay momentum, and Daniil Medvedev (49.1%) cluster around 49% due to favorable seeding, recent form, and draw positions amid a wide-open field post-draw release on April 20, though all face hurdles against Sinner's serving edge and baseline prowess.
