Lucknow Super Giants hold home advantage at the spin-friendly Ekana Stadium in Lucknow for their IPL 2026 opener against Delhi Capitals, where chasing teams have won 55% of recent matches. LSG's pace attack strengthens with Mohammed Shami's debut and Mayank Yadav's return from injury, complementing spinners like Wanindu Hasaranga, while Rishabh Pant eyes a strong start batting at No. 3 alongside Nicholas Pooran. Delhi Capitals miss Mitchell Starc due to injury but rely on KL Rahul's opening firepower, Nitish Rana's form, and Axar Patel's leadership, holding a 4-3 head-to-head edge. Toss outcome and dew factor loom large in this evenly poised T20 clash with no prior season form to reference.
