Mumbai Indians lead trader consensus at 24.5% implied probability for IPL 2026 title thanks to their post-December auction retention of Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya captaincy, Tilak Varma, and spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, augmented by Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar for a lethal pace battery suited to T20 death overs and powerplay swings. Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit at 16% with Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, and Josh Hazlewood intact but navigating Rajat Patidar's leadership amid Venkatesh Iyer's big buy and squad flux. Punjab Kings (12.5%) leverage runners-up momentum from 2025 via Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, and Yuzvendra Chahal's spin guile, while Chennai Super Kings (11.5%) boast batting firepower from Sanju Samson, Dewald Brevis, and MS Dhoni experience. Differentiators include MI's balanced depth and five-time pedigree against rivals' batting-heavy but bowling-vulnerable lineups in this wide-open T20 fray.
