Mumbai Indians top trader consensus at 29% implied probability for the IPL 2026 title, fueled by their retained core of captain Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, delivering a balanced attack and batting firepower that experts like Michael Vaughan and Aakash Chopra highlight as championship-caliber after the November 2025 retentions and December auction. Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit at 16.5% following a dominant opener boosting their NRR to +2.907, leveraging Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar's form. Punjab Kings (13%) and Rajasthan Royals (10.5%) show early promise with wins and high NRRs (+0.509 and +4.171), differentiating via fresh auction buys and young guns like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag, but the wide-open points table after one match apiece underscores the long playoff race ahead amid minimal injury disruptions.
