Fabiano Caruana leads trader consensus at 30% implied probability for the 2026 FIDE Candidates Tournament due to his world #2 Elo rating near 2804 and proven track record as a past challenger, with steady accumulation of FIDE Circuit points from top finishes like the 2024 Superbet Classic. Hikaru Nakamura trails at 21.5%, supported by his #3 ranking, rapid/blitz dominance—including recent online event wins—and consistent classical results that bolster qualification prospects. Rising stars Javokhir Sindarov (14%) and Praggnanandhaa R (11.5%) reflect momentum from the 2024 Chess Olympiad team golds and strong open tournament showings, positioning them ahead of veterans like Wei Yi (10.5%) and Anish Giri (9.5%). No major developments in the past 48 hours, but the ongoing FIDE Circuit cycle through August 2025 prioritizes current form and rating performance.
