Darja Vidmanova enters as the clear trader consensus favorite against lower-ranked Katarina Jokic in the Credit One Charleston Open qualifying first round on green clay, driven by her WTA No. 118 ranking versus Jokic's No. 304 and a stronger 2026 record of 12-7 compared to Jokic's 1-4. Vidmanova, the No. 3 qualifier seed and recent University of Georgia standout, pushed Elsa Jacquemot in a marathon three-set Miami qualifier loss last week, while Jokic fell early to Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva in Merida. No head-to-head exists; both have solid career clay records—Vidmanova 66-39 overall, Jokic 95-48—but Vidmanova's youth, momentum, and higher Elo rating (127) bolster her edge in this outdoor matchup scheduled for March 28, with the winner advancing to qualifying second round amid mild Charleston spring conditions.
