Toronto Blue Jays hold a clear edge over the Chicago White Sox in this AL matchup, reflecting the Sox's historically poor 41-121 record in 2024—the worst in modern MLB history—coupled with extensive front office changes, including the firing of GM Chris Getz and manager Pedro Grifol in the past month. Jays finished stronger at 74-88, bolstered by Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s consistent production and a deeper rotation, though bullpen inconsistencies lingered. Recent developments feature White Sox prospect buzz amid rebuild, but key injuries to Luis Robert Jr. and others hampered them. Traders weigh starting pitchers, home-field advantage at Rogers Centre, and late-season form, with weather rarely a factor indoors. Offseason roster moves via trade deadline echoes and free agency loom as upcoming influencers.
