New York Yankees host Miami Marlins at Yankee Stadium on April 3 in an early-season matchup featuring undefeated squads at 3-0—Yankees after sweeping San Francisco Giants, Marlins handling Colorado Rockies in a trio of close wins. Probable starters Eury Pérez (3.86 ERA) and Will Warren (2.08 ERA) pit young right-handers against depleted rotations, with Yankees missing Gerrit Cole (Tommy John, 15-day IL), Carlos Rodón (elbow, 15-day IL), and shortstop Anthony Volpe (10-day IL), while Marlins lack outfielders Kyle Stowers (hamstring, 10-day IL) and Esteury Ruiz (oblique, 10-day IL). Cool 49°F gametime weather aids pitching; Marlins boast 6-4 record in last 10 head-to-heads.
