Houston Astros head to Coors Field for an interleague series opener against the Colorado Rockies, where thin air consistently inflates offense with park-adjusted run rates among MLB's highest. Early 2026 form shows Astros at 3-2 in the AL West, leaning on veteran core amid bullpen strains from injured list stints for Josh Hader (biceps), Nate Pearson (elbow surgery), and Hayden Wesneski (elbow). Rockies languish near the NL West basement off a 0-2 start, hampered by outfielder Zac Veen's knee issue and oblique woes for Blaine Crim. Astros boast a 12-4 Denver record since joining the AL, but watch probable pitchers, final injury reports, and Denver's variable April weather—mild 50s-60s with shower risks—that could amplify scoring volatility.
