The Philadelphia Phillies (4-3) head to Oracle Park for a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants (2-4) starting April 6, with prospect Andrew Painter facing veteran Adrian Houser in the opener. Phillies ace Zack Wheeler remains sidelined on the injured list with a right upper extremity blood clot, thinning their rotation depth early in the season, while reliever Orion Kerkering nears return from a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Giants placed RHP José Buttó on the 15-day IL April 2 with arm fatigue atop existing bullpen losses like Rowan Wick's Tommy John recovery. Phillies carry momentum from a 10-1 rout of the Rockies on April 3 behind a seven-run first inning, contrasting Giants' uneven start including losses to the Yankees. Expect pitcher-friendly conditions at breezy Oracle Park.
