In the Grand Prix Hassan II qualifying clash on Marrakech's outdoor clay courts, higher-ranked Andrea Pellegrino (#128) holds an edge over Timofey Skatov (#195) entering their evenly split 2-2 head-to-head rivalry, including Pellegrino's straight-sets clay win in Bastad last July. Pellegrino boasts strong 2026 clay form at 11-6, with quarterfinal runs at ATP 250 Santiago and challengers like Murcia and Rosario, plus qualifier successes in Buenos Aires and Rio. Skatov, down from a 123 peak, shows a middling 8-11 YTD record lacking similar depth on the surface. No injuries reported; expect a grinder favoring Pellegrino's baseline consistency and recent momentum in South American swing events.
