Marc-Andrea Huesler enters as the clear trader favorite against Dan Martin in the San Luis Potosi Challenger first round on clay, driven by his superior ATP ranking around No. 220 versus Martin's No. 386, plus a strong 10-2 tournament record here including a 2022 semifinal. Huesler boasts a career 98-83 clay ledger and recent regional form, reaching the Morelos Challenger round of 16 last week with straight-set wins over Alex Hernandez and Takeru Yuzuki before a quarterfinal exit to James Duckworth. Martin, a career-high No. 383 achiever this month, holds a 32-27 lifetime clay mark but lost early in Morelos to Facundo Mena; no head-to-head exists, and no injury concerns or weather issues reported for the outdoor venue. Upset potential lingers given Challenger volatility.
