Lorenzo Giustino enters as the No. 7 seed in the Barletta Challenger first round on clay, holding a higher ATP ranking around No. 210 compared to Laurent Lokoli's No. 440, with Giustino leading their head-to-head 1-0 via a quarterfinal win on clay at M25 Villeneuve-Loubet last June. Giustino advanced to the Naples Challenger round of 16 last week before falling to Enrico Dalla Valle, showcasing solid clay form with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-0 comeback over Kyrian Jacquet. Lokoli, entering via qualifiers, notched a recent win over Matthew William Donald but carries a 10-8 season record amid early exits like Naples qualifying. Home crowd support bolsters the Italian, though Lokoli's qualifier momentum and extra match practice could factor in this best-of-three set encounter on outdoor clay.
