In the ATP Challenger 75 Sao Leopoldo on clay, No. 241 Pedro Boscardin Dias holds a 3-1 head-to-head edge over No. 284 Gustavo Heide, with their last meeting a straight-sets win for Boscardin in the 2022 Coquimbo Challenger second round. Both Brazilians enter round-of-32 action off recent clay losses—Boscardin falling 0-2 to Gianluca Cadenasso in Asuncion last week after a quarterfinal run, Heide dropping 1-2 to Roman Andres Burruchaga in Sao Paulo earlier this month—highlighting inconsistent form amid a packed South American swing. As doubles partners who played earlier today, familiarity could play a role, though fatigue from the quick turnaround and home-crowd energy add uncertainty to this evenly matched opener.
