Felix Gill faces Gianluca Cadenasso in the first round of the Barletta Challenger, an ATP 75 event on outdoor clay in Italy, where closely ranked players—Gill at No. 252 and Cadenasso around No. 300—renew their rivalry. Cadenasso holds a perfect 2-0 head-to-head edge on clay, winning straight sets in August and October 2025 ITF events in Santa Margherita di Pula. The Italian qualifier enters with momentum from recent Barletta qualifying victories over Hynek Barton and Tiago Pereira, while left-handed Gill arrives off a second-round loss to Mili Poljicak in Split last week. No reported injuries or withdrawals affect the matchup, though Cadenasso benefits from home-crowd support and fresher legs. Trader consensus reflects a competitive bout on a surface suiting both, with stylistic edges like Gill's lefty serve potentially decisive.
