Trader consensus slightly favors Dang Qiu at 51.5% implied probability in this closely contested WTT Men's Singles matchup against Yuanyu Chen, driven by Qiu's higher ITTF world ranking of No. 11 versus Chen's No. 23, superior experience at age 29, and his 3-1 head-to-head victory over the 21-year-old Chinese rising star in the WTT Star Contender Doha R32 last January. Recent form from WTT Champions Chongqing underscores the balance: Qiu staged a stunning comeback from two games down to defeat Liang Jingkun, while Chen fell 3-2 in a tight battle to Hugo Calderano, highlighting both players' resilience in five-game thrillers. Momentum could shift with pre-match warm-up results, fatigue from recent travel, or stylistic edges—Qiu's right-hand penhold attack versus Chen's aggressive baseline play—potentially tipping odds in the final hours before the April 1 showdown.
