Dalma Galfi enters as the higher-ranked player at No. 87 against wild card Bianca Andreescu (No. 146) in the Credit One Charleston Open first round on green clay, holding a 1-1 head-to-head lead after her three-set upset win over the former US Open champion, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4, in Austin last month. Andreescu's 17-4 YTD record reflects strong ITF title runs early in 2026 but recent WTA struggles, including losses to Rakhimova at Indian Wells and Miami qualifying exits. Galfi sits at 6-8 for the year with losses to Kalieva, Blinkova, and Yuan following her Austin success, testing trader consensus on her momentum versus Andreescu's clay-suited all-court prowess and resurgence potential.
