Kirk Cousins' agreement to a one-year, fully guaranteed $20 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, announced by his agent two days ago, has locked in trader consensus at 94.8% implied probability for him playing there in 2026-27, serving as a bridge quarterback and mentor to presumptive No. 1 draft pick Fernando Mendoza under new coach Klint Kubiak. The Falcons' March release amid salary cap pressures—following a January restructure converting much of his $35 million 2026 base into future dead money—cleared his path to free agency, with Atlanta still covering $8.7 million. Scenarios like a failed physical, surprise injury, or pre-season trade/release could shift odds, though such upsets remain remote given the deal's structure.
