Chicago Cubs' Jameson Taillon faces Tampa Bay Rays ace Shane McClanahan in the interleague series opener at Tropicana Field on April 6, with trader consensus implying a slight 56% edge for the visitors amid early-season uncertainty. Chicago gained momentum from a 6-2 win over the Angels on April 1, where Matthew Boyd struck out 10 to help the Cubs return to .500 at 3-3, while Tampa Bay dropped to 2-3 following an 8-2 loss to Milwaukee in a late Brewers rally. Key absences include Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki (knee, nearing April return from 10-day IL) and Rays infielder Taylor Walls (oblique, out until mid-April), though both rotations remain intact; Rays hold home advantage in the dome but must rebound from sub-.500 start.
