The three-match T20 series between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, set for Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE on March 13, 15, and 17, was officially postponed on March 11 by the Afghanistan Cricket Board due to regional conflict in West Asia, with rescheduling eyed for late 2026. No innings or wickets have been contested, rendering pitch conditions, toss results, team selections, and batting or bowling lineups moot for now. Sri Lanka enters with a dominant T20I head-to-head record over Afghanistan, including a 3-0 series sweep in 2024, while both sides build momentum from recent T20 World Cup performances—Afghanistan advancing deep before elimination, Sri Lanka securing consistent wins. Traders should track ACB and SLC updates for any revised schedule or market resolution criteria amid this uncertainty.
