Sebastian Ofner holds a ranking edge at No. 130 over Pablo Carreno Busta's No. 461 entering their Alicante Challenger round-of-16 clash on hard courts, where Ofner's aggressive baseline style and recent quarterfinal run in Murcia bolster trader sentiment toward the Austrian. Carreno Busta, benefiting from home-crowd support in Spain, advanced past local hopeful Carlos Taberner in straight sets but continues rebuilding match sharpness following his eight-month suspension earlier in 2024, with no reported injuries for either. Head-to-head is level at 0-0, though PCB's experience in high-pressure Challenger ties and surface familiarity could fuel an upset; weather remains clear for the outdoor match, with no late withdrawals noted.
