In the first-round Menorca Challenger on outdoor clay, higher-ranked Matteo Martineau (ATP 348) holds the edge in trader consensus over wildcard Pedro Vives Marcos (ATP 525), reflecting Martineau's greater Challenger experience and recent upset win over Stan Wawrinka in Napoli last week before a round-of-16 exit. Both enter with mixed form—Martineau struggling in hard-court qualifiers, Vives Marcos dropping an ITF match in Tarragona—amid their first head-to-head meeting. Vives benefits from home-crowd support on a familiar Spanish clay surface, but Martineau's peak ranking (170) and baseline consistency pose upset barriers, with no reported injuries or withdrawals altering the dynamic.
