This market will resolve according to the player that finishes the 2025–26 NBA regular season with the highest steals per-game average of any qualified player. In the event of a tie for the highest steals per-game average, this market will resolve in favor of the player who appeared in the greater number of games. If the tied players also played the same number of games, the market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. Qualification for inclusion in official NBA leaderboards (such as minimum games or statistical thresholds) will be determined according to NBA rules and applied exactly as reflected in the official leaderboard. The resolution source will be the NBA (NBA.com/stats).Ausar Thompson holds the NBA steals per game lead at 2.0 through 68 games, surging ahead late March with a 2.02 SPG edge over Tyrese Maxey (1.98, 65 GP) and Cason Wallace (1.97, 74 GP), per recent stats, fueling his 71.5% trader consensus as season-long leader. The Pistons wing's defensive dominance—Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Month, 26 steals over his last eight games, and 2.9 stocks per game (second league-wide)—has driven the market shift, especially as Detroit chases the East's top seed with games remaining. Challengers like Dyson Daniels (2.0 SPG, 73 GP) and Kawhi Leonard (2.0, 61 GP) trail due to higher minute loads or injury-managed games, while Maxey's offensive usage caps his upside despite closing form.
