Nikola Jokić holds a commanding lead in NBA assists per game at 10.8 through 59 games, 0.9 ahead of Cade Cunningham's 9.9, fueling trader consensus at 98.5% implied probability for the season-long crown. His recent dominance—averaging 15.5 APG over the last four outings, including 17-assist triple-doubles against Phoenix and Utah—has widened the gap, bolstered by Denver's high-usage offense and his league-leading 12.8 rebounds per game enabling playmaking opportunities. With roughly 23 games remaining and the Nuggets vying for playoff seeding, consistent minutes are likely. Realistic challenges include a Jokić injury or heavy load management sidelining him, allowing Cunningham or surging guards like Josh Giddey (9.2 APG) to close via perfect schedules and hot streaks.
