With the tournament weeks away and squads largely finalized, the tight clustering around 30-35% reflects broad parity among creative midfielders and wingers whose club form, passing volume, and international track records position them as leading candidates for assists. Recent fitness updates, including Sweden’s decision to omit Dejan Kulusevski due to a prolonged knee issue, have not yet shifted the market decisively, while players like Salem Al-Dawsari continue to benefit from consistent contributions in high-pressing systems. The competitive balance stems from multiple teams expected to reach the knockout stages, where set-piece delivery, transitional play, and attacking rotations create similar opportunities for assists across several nations, leaving no single standout and sustaining the narrow implied probabilities among the frontrunners.
