Recent expansions to the U.S. Department of Defense Section 1260H list, including the June 2026 addition of 65 entities such as Alibaba, Baidu, BYD, and robotics firms like Unitree, reflect heightened focus on Chinese companies tied to military-civil fusion in AI, semiconductors, EVs, and biotechnology. These updates, now covering 188 entities total, precede the June 2027 effective date for broader procurement restrictions on goods or services linked to listed firms. Traders monitor annual DoD reviews, congressional NDAA provisions, and supply-chain reporting for signals on further designations before the mid-2027 deadline.
