Traders are weighing this growth against sharply higher capital expenditures, now guided at $195–205 billion for the full year, which produced negative free cash flow and contributed to share-price volatility. The stock traded in the low-to-mid $340s through late August after testing higher levels near $384 earlier in the month and a May peak above $408. Market-implied odds for August price thresholds reflect ongoing debate over whether Cloud backlog expansion to $514 billion and Search resilience can offset near-term margin pressure from AI infrastructure spending ahead of Q3 results.
