Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” holds the strongest market-implied odds among the six nominees for Best R&B at the 2026 VMAs, reflecting its blend of veteran star power, strong streaming traction, and Bruno’s six total nominations across categories. The field remains tightly contested, with Kehlani’s “Folded,” Justin Bieber’s “YUKON,” and the collaborative entries from Chris Brown, Dave & Tems, and Mariah the Scientist & Kali Uchis each drawing distinct fan bases and critical support. Fan voting, which closes September 25, serves as the key swing factor ahead of the September 27 ceremony in Los Angeles, where historical VMA voting patterns often favor established artists with broad crossover appeal while leaving room for genre-specific momentum shifts in the final days.
