**Recent supply recovery following highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreaks has anchored U.S. retail egg prices near $2.19 per dozen.** The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the July 2026 U.S. city average at $2.189, up slightly from $2.141 in June but down roughly 39% year-over-year after the 2025 peak above $6. Flock rebuilding has created oversupply, pressuring wholesale benchmarks lower while feed, fuel, and labor costs remain elevated. With August data pending the September 11 release, trader consensus at 62.9% for the $2.20–$2.30 bin reflects stabilization around recent monthly readings and limited near-term volatility absent fresh disease or demand shocks. Market-implied odds incorporate these supply dynamics and historical seasonal patterns.

The St. Louis Fed bases its numbers for egg prices on the BLS's CPI release. The August release is presently scheduled for September 11, 2026. Resolution of this market will take place upon the update of the St. Louis Fed's chart. If no data for the specified month is released by the date the next month's data is scheduled to be released, this market will resolve based on data from the last available month.
The resolution source for this market measures prices to the third decimal place. Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket.
