Darijana Filipović leads market pricing at 53.5% as the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ BiH) candidate, the dominant party among Bosnian Croats, with her nomination in mid-April 2026 and established record as a national MP and party vice-president giving her organizational advantages in Croat-majority cantons. Slaven Kovačević follows at 31% due to backing from the Democratic Front and positioning as a continuation of the current civic-oriented approach associated with Željko Komšić. Zdenko Lučić trails at 12.3% after the opposition “Croatian Five” bloc confirmed him in early May and submitted supporting signatures later that month, though the split in anti-HDZ votes limits his consolidation. The October 4, 2026, general election timing and ongoing debates over electoral rules favoring stronger Croat-majority input remain central to trader assessments of these probabilities.
