Trader consensus favors BYU freshman AJ Dybantsa at 58.1% implied probability to lead NCAA men's basketball in points per game, driven by his explosive 25-point debut against UNC Wilmington and 24 points in the next outing, showcasing elite scoring efficiency as the nation's No. 1 recruit with heavy usage in BYU's up-tempo offense. Arkansas' Darius Acuff Jr. follows closely at 44.5% after a 37-point explosion in his college opener versus Lipscomb, highlighting his quick-release jumper and transition threat. Ebuka Okorie (37.0%), P.J. Haggerty (36.5% at San Francisco), Nick Martinelli (30.5% for Colorado State averaging 29.5 PPG early), and Daeshun Ruffin (25.5%) round out the competitive top tier, buoyed by double-digit scoring outbursts in limited early-season action amid thin schedules; however, sustaining volume over 30-plus games against tougher defenses will test their leads, with no major injuries reported yet.
