Corbin Carroll’s commanding lead in the MLB triples race stems from his elite speed, aggressive baserunning, and consistent gap power that has produced 16 triples through mid-September, eight more than any other player. The Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder has already set the franchise career record earlier in 2026 and is tracking for a fourth straight season leading the National League while posting rare combinations of 20-plus homers, 20-plus steals, and 15-plus triples. Trader consensus at 97.9% reflects this substantial cushion with limited games remaining. A late injury sidelining Carroll or an unprecedented surge by a challenger such as Chandler Simpson or Xavier Edwards could narrow the margin, though both remain distant based on current pace and historical patterns.
