**Incumbent Speaker Mike Johnson holds a commanding position in Louisiana’s 4th congressional district ahead of the November 3, 2026, majority-vote primary.** The solidly Republican district, encompassing northwestern Louisiana including Shreveport-Bossier City, features limited opposition from fellow Republicans Gordon Heslop and Mike Nichols alongside Democratic challengers Conrad Cable and Matthew Gromlich. Johnson’s substantial fundraising advantage, high visibility as Speaker, and endorsements position him to capture a clear majority of votes in the first round under the state’s jungle-primary rules. With no significant late developments or polling shifts indicating a fragmented field, trader consensus assigns a high implied probability that the contest concludes without advancing to the December 12 runoff.
