The Esports World Cup 2026 Korea Qualifier features a double-elimination bracket among nine LCK teams competing for two qualification spots to the main event in Riyadh, with Gen.G already secured as defending champions. Recent LCK mid-season form has elevated T1 as the clear frontrunner, supported by strong head-to-head results and consistent roster execution, while Dplus KIA demonstrated momentum by advancing past Hanwha Life Esports 2-1 in mid-May play. Teams like KT Rolster and Nongshim RedForce remain in contention through late-May bracket stages, where adaptation to the current patch, recent series wins, and home-region scheduling advantages could shift outcomes. The event runs alongside the regular LCK season, adding fatigue considerations for squads managing back-to-back commitments before the offline finals in Seoul.
