Sri Lanka enters the postponed three-match ODI series as trader consensus favorite at 66% implied probability, buoyed by their sixth-place ICC ODI ranking (98 rating) ahead of Afghanistan's seventh (95), plus a dominant 10-5 head-to-head record in 15 encounters. Both squads arrived near full strength in March announcements, with Afghanistan captained by Hashmatullah Shahidi and featuring Rashid Khan's return alongside Fazalhaq Farooqi, while Sri Lanka boasts batting depth from Kusal Mendis and Charith Asalanka, complemented by Wanindu Hasaranga's all-round threat. Neutral Dubai pitches favor high scores and spin, amplifying Afghanistan's upset potential via Noor Ahmad, but Sri Lanka's recent form edges against England in January ODIs underpin the pricing despite the West Asia conflict-forced rescheduling to late 2026.
