Mackenzie McDonald's higher ATP ranking (No. 66) and proven hard-court experience make him the clear trader favorite against 18-year-old qualifier Martin Landaluce (No. 279) in this Miami Open qualifying matchup, with market odds implying over 80% win probability for the American. McDonald enters off a first-round loss in Indian Wells but boasts a 6-4 record in recent hard-court events, leveraging his strong serve and baseline consistency. Landaluce, a rising Spaniard, advanced via qualies in Phoenix and shows promise with aggressive play, though lacks top-level experience; no head-to-head exists. Key watch: McDonald's return game versus Landaluce's powerful groundstrokes, amid Miami's humid conditions favoring endurance.
