Juan Pablo Ficovich holds a perfect 3-0 head-to-head edge over Mateus Cardoso Alves, including a dominant 6-3, 6-1 straight-sets victory in their most recent encounter last week at the Morelia Challenger on hard courts. Currently ranked No. 208, the Argentine Ficovich enters this ATP Challenger San Luis Potosi clay-court matchup with superior standing over No. 514 Alves, whose form has struggled in recent qualifiers and early rounds. Outdoor red clay favors Ficovich's baseline game and South American experience, with no reported injuries or withdrawals affecting the field. Traders note the quick turnaround from Morelia as a potential fatigue factor, though Ficovich's momentum and surface affinity shape the consensus.
