Szocs advanced past Lily Zhang before a gritty five-game defeat to Chen Yi at WTT Champions Chongqing earlier this month, exposing potential vulnerability, while unranked teen Morice, now No. 133 after a massive climb, stunned higher seeds like Fatimo Bello in February's ITTF Africa Cup qualifiers and dominated 2025 youth events. With no head-to-head history, last-minute warm-up form or minor fitness tweaks could sway odds in this debut senior World Cup matchup for the rising prodigy.
