Chen Xingtong, world No. 3, enters this WTT women's singles matchup as trader consensus favorite at even money, but recent upsets have created competitive balance against surging Yeh Yi-Tian. Chen suffered a shocking quarterfinal exit at WTT Singapore Smash 2026 to Chen Yi (0-4 on Feb. 28) and a main draw loss to wildcard Shi Xunyao (1-3) at WTT Champions Chongqing last week (March 13), exposing vulnerabilities in her aggressive style amid a packed schedule. Yeh, ranked around No. 53, rides momentum from feeder triumphs including 3-1 over Kotomi Omoda at WTT Feeder Otocec (March 11) and prior round wins, showcasing defensive resilience and counterpunching. No head-to-head history exists; late withdrawals or on-table execution in rallies could swiftly tip odds.
