This market will resolve according to the player that finishes the 2025–26 NBA regular season with the highest steals per-game average of any qualified player. In the event of a tie for the highest steals per-game average, this market will resolve in favor of the player who appeared in the greater number of games. If the tied players also played the same number of games, the market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. Qualification for inclusion in official NBA leaderboards (such as minimum games or statistical thresholds) will be determined according to NBA rules and applied exactly as reflected in the official leaderboard. The resolution source will be the NBA (NBA.com/stats).Trader consensus crowns Ausar Thompson the overwhelming 68% implied probability favorite for NBA steals per game leader, anchored by his league-leading 2.0 SPG across 68 games (135 total steals) and a blistering 2.5 SPG in March that secured Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Month honors amid Detroit's late playoff push. Tyrese Maxey trails at 13.5% with matching 2.0 SPG in fewer games (126 steals over 63 GP), while Cason Wallace's 8.5% reflects elite totals (144 steals in 72 games) but vulnerability with Oklahoma City's lighter schedule remaining; Kawhi Leonard lags at 1.9 SPG (117 in 62 GP) due to Clippers' load management. With roughly 10-20 games left league-wide, Thompson's defensive usage and recent surge drive the wide market gap in this razor-thin statistical battle.
